Is there a free trial?
Yes. Download from the App Store and start with a 14-day free trial before choosing Essential, Pro or Business.
How do I get started?
Download ProperTradie from the App Store and complete onboarding with your trade type, ABN, bank details and branding. Your company receives 20 ProperCredits once at signup.
How much does ProperTradie cost?
Essential A$9.99/month (0 monthly ProperCredits), Pro A$19.99/month (40 ProperCredits), Business A$49.99/month (150 ProperCredits). Annual plans include one month free.
Can I use ProperTradie on Android?
Yes for the app. In-app Android subscriptions direct you to subscribe on the website for now.
Is there a web version?
ProperTradie is designed for iPhone via the App Store. Download the app to quote, approve, invoice and manage your business on site.

ProperCredits power assisted features that save you time.
What uses ProperCredits?
Assisted quote and invoice creation, receipt scanning, voice and photo-assisted documents, and optional mobile verification on quote or agreement approval links.
Do monthly ProperCredits roll over?
No. Monthly ProperCredits reset at the beginning of the next monthly allowance period.
Do purchased ProperCredits expire?
No. Purchased ProperCredit top-ups do not expire.
Can Essential users access assisted features?
Yes. Essential includes no recurring ProperCredits, but signup credits and top-ups let you use assisted features when needed.
Are ProperCredit purchases refundable?
ProperCredit purchases follow the refund policies of the platform you purchased through (Apple or web). See terms of service for details.
Quotes and approval
Can I create quotes on my phone?
Yes. Build quotes on site with line items, photos and terms. Use assisted creation, voice prompts or manual entry.
Can customers sign quotes?
Yes. Customers open a public link, accept terms, enter their full name, draw their digital signature and approve. The signature appears on the approved PDF.
Is mobile verification required for quotes?
No. Digital signature is required. Optional mobile verification can be enabled per quote when you want an extra approval step.
When does an approved quote become an invoice?
You convert an approved quote to an invoice when you are ready to bill.
How many photos can I attach?
Up to 12 photos per quote or invoice. Toggle customer visibility per photo.
Service agreements
Can I manage ongoing service agreements?
Yes. Create agreements for scheduled maintenance, cleaning, gardening, electrical maintenance, pest control and other recurring work. Include services, billing models, events and customer approval.
Can customers sign service agreements?
Yes. Customers review a public agreement link, accept terms, sign digitally and complete approval. Optional mobile verification is available when you enable it.
Can I edit an active service agreement?
Yes. Edit active and paused agreements. Safely deactivate included services without deleting billing history. Preserve unbilled events.
What happens when an agreement changes?
ProperTradie keeps a clear amendment history. Customers can acknowledge minor updates or sign again where a material change requires approval — such as pricing, billing model, included services or agreement dates.
Can ProperTradie create recurring invoices?
Yes. Agreements support prepaid, per-event and monthly billing. Prepare draft monthly invoices or enable automatic monthly invoice emails.
Invoices and payments
Do invoices require customer signatures?
No. Digital signatures and optional mobile verification apply to quotes and service agreements, not invoices.
How do I send invoices to customers?
Share a public invoice link from your phone's SMS app or copy the link. You send from your own number.
Can I track cash and bank-transfer payments?
Yes. Record cash and bank transfers. Optionally connect Stripe for card payments on supported invoice links.
Can I record partial payments?
Yes. Deposits, progress payments and final balances update invoice status when confirmed.
Expenses
How does receipt scanning work?
Photograph a receipt and let ProperTradie prepare the expense details. Review and edit before saving. Uses ProperCredits.
What expenses can I track?
Material, labour, subcontractor, travel, equipment, permit, insurance, business and other types linked to invoices.

What plans are available?

How are annual-plan credits delivered?
Monthly ProperCredits are released each month from your subscription anniversary — not upfront for the year.
Web vs iPhone billing?
Subscribe on the website or on iPhone via Apple. Manage billing in your web account or App Store subscription settings.
Can I restore an Apple subscription?
Use Restore Purchases in the app subscription settings on iPhone, or manage your subscription in App Store settings.
Security and legal
Are public links secure?
Quote, invoice and agreement links use tokenised URLs. Approval flows capture signature evidence and optional mobile verification when enabled.
Does ProperTradie provide legal advice?
No. ProperTradie helps you keep clear approval records. For legal questions about agreements or electronic signatures, speak with a qualified professional.
Is ProperTradie available outside Australia?
ProperTradie is built for Australian tradies with ABN, GST and AUD defaults. It is primarily intended for use in Australia.
Where is data stored?
ProperTradie uses Supabase and Cloudflare R2 for secure cloud storage.
